Create and ship AI-enhanced products that solve hard financial workflows for residential construction. You'll work deeply in the realities of estimating and payments: takeoffs, plan sets, scope, assemblies, alternates, allowances, change orders, retention, partial payments, and the messy edge cases that show up on real jobs. You'll take ambiguous problems from 0 → 1, lead technical direction for major product areas, design APIs and data models, and deliver end-to-end features that builders and the field team can trust. You'll work closely with the CEO and leaders across product, design, and customer success to translate customer reality into shippable systems. You'll set patterns for how we build, mentor engineers, and raise the bar for the team.
Location: Remote-first with periodic in-person collaboration (we meet up about twice per year)

You'll build features across estimating, payments, and AI-powered workflows: designing data models that reflect how builders think, creating calculation engines with audit trails and versioning, implementing billing flows with real-world edge cases (retention, partial payments, disputes), and turning unstructured construction data into structured product features through document parsing and drawing interpretation.
